Sounds like the 1960's when the end of the system was right around the corner. I recall my brother in law about 1973-74 saying we would not see 1975. How some elderly people were waiting for the end so they could be young and healthy again. One poor old fellow that was dying of cancer said if he could only hold on for a few more months. He died that same year. Fool me once WT, that is all you got to keep your members in line is fear.

you heard the comment about "our way of worship will be altered" and thank you for your posts by the way....but yesterday, she calls and is asking about the kids and then, in typical jw fashion mind you, says:.
"you know, you should really get back to meetings.

2014 Watchtower Library CD (very discreetly) changed the Insight article on Faithful and Discreet Slave

I guess this is what the society claims as new light when they change the old light to coincide with the new light teachings. Unless the WT has put some disclaimer or notation that this information has been changed, this is out and out deceiving. -

Please think about all the good times you had in Field Service, at the Meetings and Book Study closeness with our tight-knit family.
For all the good times I recall there was just as many bad memories. In the end after a bunch of missed prophecies from the WT and a lot of soul searching, I knew it was not the "TRUTH".
Please return before it's too late, Jehovah will bless you only by humbling yourself and rejoining the Flock of Jehovah!
Just more guilt from this organization of conditional love.

I am wonder to if the WT haven't hired an outside PR company to improve their image as some else pointed out on here that the present GB are not bright enough to figure this out themselves. -

Since most of the GB has been replaced in the last 15 years, my guest would be the new blood on the GB. Before that it was run by a bunch of 80+ year old men. It has been discussed on here before that the GB are just figure heads and the real power is silent stock holders of the corporation. Others on here know how it is set up. Not sure if there is anyone in particular that has more say. -

i literally cannot describe how i felt watching that.. growing up as a jw was serious business.
we had to take the preaching work seriously, watch our conduct, give a good witness by our actions, and be on our best behaviour to ensure we made it through the great tribulation.. when i was a child, i had dreams of being a cartoonist.

he wanted her to simply move on with her life.here is how she moved on: she put on her wedding dress, got into her car in the garage and started it.
do you think finding her this way spoke louder than any suicide note?

So they refuse to bury her but are happy to pocket the money. Unbelievable.
They will conduct the service but it can't be at the Kingdum Hall. Still her contribution went toward building the KH but she is not good enough to have her memorial service held there.
